Penn State Wilkes-Barre Falls in Both Games of Double Header

Lehman, PA – Penn State Wilkes-Barre fell in both games of the double header against Penn State DuBois Wednesday afternoon by a score of 5-1 and 6-1. In game one, Wilkes-Barre would strike early in the bottom of the first after Mike Delaney reached first on a walk and scored on a Kerry Meyers sac bunt and a Sean-Paul Williamson single. DuBois would have an answer in the top of the fourth capitalizing on a Wilkes-Barre error to score four runs on four hits to take the lead. Wilkes-Barre would not be able to answer falling 5-1. In game two DuBois would jump out to an early lead after a Wilkes-Barre error allowing two runners from third to score in the top of the first and third. Wilkes-Barre would score its lone run in the bottom of the third inning on a Francis Brodi single that allowed Meyers to score.
