Shenango, PA - Penn State Beaver Women's Basketball was back in action today when they traveled to take on Penn State Shenango.
Beaver was coming off a 5 game winning streak going into this game, hoping to remain undefeated in the conference. The first quarter was not in Beaver's favor managing to score 10 points compared to Shenango's 18. Shenango was also able tooutscore Beaver in the second quarter 15-10.
Going into the second half of the game, Beaver was not ready to give up without a fight. They managed to core 11 points and only allowed 11 points. In the final quarter of the game, Beaver outscored Shenango 23-11, but could not take home the win. Shenango won 55-54 giving Beaver their first loss of the season.
Junior Caitlyn O'Hara (Norco, CA) was a key player in today's game finishing with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Freshman Jada West (San Antonio, TX) was also a key player today having 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist, and 1 block. Junior Alison Boykin (Canton, OH) finished the game with 9 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals. Freshman Anissa Mata (San Antonio, TX) finished the game with 7 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist.
