Women's Basketball Drops Contest at LVC Tournament

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Women's Basketball fell to Saint Vincent College in day one of the Lebanon Valley College Rinso Marquette Tournament.

Following a made Schuylkill basket, Saint Vincent went on a 14-4 stretch to end the period and take a 24-13 lead heading into the second.

A made basket at 5:11 extended Saint Vincent's lead to 21. An 8-2 stretch by Schuylkill closed the gap to 16 heading into the second half.

A 16-0 run to begin the third period extended Saint Vincent's lead past 20. Saint Vincent rode their momentum into the final period as they went on to defeat Schuylkill 84-40.

Serena Jones (Tamaqua, PA / Tamaqua High School) led Schuylkill in scoring, finishing with 13 points. Kassidy Ingram (Abington, PA / Trinity High School) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the loss.

Schuylkill (0-3 overall, 0-0 PSUAC) will take on PSUAC opponent Penn State Hazleton on Sunday November 12th, in what will be their second day at the Lebanon Valley College Women's Basketball Rinso Marquette Tournament. Start time for that contest is 3:00 p.m.
