First year players look promising for Fayette WBB

Lemont Furnace, PA- Fayette falls short in first game of the season.

Fayette fell short last night in their game against Allegany College of Maryland. Despite strong defense, the team seemed to struggle offensively, going 16-66 in field goals made.

Coach Hillen commented on the game, "We played good defense after the first quarter. [A] bright spot was Sophia and Za'layah stepped up for us and Ava rebounded well for us."

Leading for Fayette was first year player, Sophia Zalar with 15 points, not far behind was first year player Za'layah Edwards with 13 points. Defensively, first year Ava Hair rebounded 11 balls and Heaven Grumm finished with 9 rebounds.

Fayette will have time to become more offensively sound, with their next game scheduled for November 10 at 5:30 P.M. against UCC.
