Albright Edges Lions 1-0

READING, Pa. – Albright scored the match's lone goal early in the second half and edged the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team 1-0 on a cool, rainy Saturday night at Shirk Stadium.

The only marker of the game came via a Brandywine own goal at the 46:17 mark.

Elijah DeBooth (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) made two first-half stops to keep the game scoreless. He added seven saves during the final 45 minutes to keep the Lions within striking distance.

Christian Zavala (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett) and Ali Abdelhady (Dubai, UAE/Nord Anglia International School) provided the two shots on goal for the Lions, but each were turned away by Albright keeper Chris Dendolm.

Abdelhady delivered the top scoring chance of the night for the Lions during the match's final 10 seconds. His strike from inside the box was re-directed wide of the net by Denholm during the final play of the evening.

Brandywine (3-3, 1-0 PSUAC) will look to bounce back Monday at Gwynedd Mercy at 4:00 PM.
