Men's Soccer Shuts Out Scranton, 3-0

DUNMORE, Pa. – Penn State Schuylkill Men's Soccer defeated Penn State Scranton on Thursday, 3-0.

The action kicked off at the 15:34 mark when Nicholas Harner (Pine Grove, PA / Pine Grove) connected with Antonio Sosa (Easton, PA / Notre Dame) to break the ice and give Schuylkill an early lead of 1-0. Harner continued to be a force on the field, capitalizing on an opportunity just 10 minutes later to extend Schuylkill's advantage to 2-0.

The momentum kept building for Schuylkill, with Isaac Smith (Apo, Germany / Wiesbaden High School) making his mark on the scoreboard at the 50:43 mark, further widening the gap to 3-0

Schuylkill's defense effectively limited Scranton's scoring opportunities throughout the game. Schuylkill maintained their lead as they went on to defeat Scranton.

Schuylkill (3-5 overall) will take on NCAA Division III Clarks Summit University on the road Monday, October 9th. Start time for that matchup is 4:00 p.m.
