PSNK Falls Short to Dubois

New Kensington, PA - New Kensington hosted PSU DuBois for a Conference showdown on Tuesday night. 

The game started with Penn State Du Bois taking an early lead in the first quarter. Rebecca Martin led the charge with two consecutive 3-pointers, quickly setting the tone for her team. Penn State New Kensington fought back with Esther Cole and Destiny Batiste making significant contributions on both ends of the court. However, Penn State Du Bois maintained control throughout the quarter, ending with a 23-6 lead.

In the second quarter, Penn State Du Bois continued to assert their dominance, with Natalie Bowser making key plays under the basket and Martin adding to the scoreboard with her shooting prowess. Penn State New Kensington managed to put up some points, primarily through Batiste and Cole, but Penn State Du Bois maintained a comfortable lead, finishing the half with a score of 41-23.

The third quarter saw Penn State Du Bois extending their lead further, with Bowser, Martin, and Kelsey Stuart leading the charge. Penn State New Kensington's efforts were commendable, with Batiste and Cole trying to keep their team in the game. However, Penn State Du Bois' strong defensive presence and efficient offense proved too much to handle. The quarter ended with Penn State Du Bois in firm control, leading 62-33.

Throughout the game, Penn State Du Bois showcased their depth and skill, dominating both ends of the court and maintaining their lead until the final buzzer.
