Brandywine Blanks Christendom 7-0

MEDIA, Pa. -- Chris Manful (Baltimore, Md./Woodlawn) scored four times and the Penn State Brandywine men's soccer team claimed a 7-0 triumph over Christendom on Friday afternoon.

The Lions took the lead just 1:51 into the game as Manful headed in Kyle Reuter's (York, Pa./Dallastown Area) free kick. He doubled the margin at the 11:11 mark, again using his head to redirect Jayden Barragan's (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) crossing feed.

Brandywine entered halftime with a 3-0 lead follwing Alex Mocarski's (Stratford, Conn./Stratford) first-career goal.

The Lions quickly doubled the margin early in the second period. Manful completed his hat trick at the 54:47 mark, while Barragan stole a goal kick and scored 1:19 later. Manful found the back of the net for the final time during the 59th minute and Robbie Warren (Waldorf, Md./Westlake) capped the scoring just under five minutes later.

Brandywine kept a clean sheet for the 11th time this season as goalkeeper Zack Saunooke (Mars Hill, N.C./Madison) stopped all four shots he faced, including three during the final 45 minutes. The Lions outshot the Crusaders 25-6 and put 14 shots on target.

Brandywine (12-3-2, 4-0-1 PSUAC) will host Penn State Greater Allegheny for Senior Day on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
