Younker, Williams Headline PSUAC Baseball All-Conference Selections

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State Wilkes-Barre's Tanner Williams and Penn State Mont Alto's Jeremiah Younker each captured Player of the Year honors in their respective divisions to lead the PSUAC Baseball All-Conference teams, announced today by the conference office. 

A total of 48 student-athletes from all 12 campuses with baseball received postseason recognition, including 12 John Fritz Sportsmanship Award winners. Division winners Wilkes-Barre and DuBois led the way with six honorees each, including five each on the first team in their divisions. Mont Alto also had six selections, all on the West First Team.

Williams led Wilkes-Barre to the East Division title and also earned First Team honors in the East as an infielder. Younker made the First Team in the West as an outfielder and has helped his team to the final rounds of the PSUAC Baseball Championship tournament this weekend. Williams' teammate Brandon Hardiman was named the East Newcomer of the Year, while Penn State York's Brendon Delridge earned Pitcher of the Year honors in the East.

Out west, DuBois swept the remaining specialty awards as Brandon Orsich took home Pitcher of the Year and Isaac Stouffer was named West Newcomer of the Year. Their head coach, Tom Calliari, earned Coach of the Year honors for the second consecutive season. 

Brandywine had five honorees, led by pitcher Tyler Michaels. Eleven teams earned at least one All-Conference selection.

 

PSUAC Baseball All-Conference Awards

PSUAC All-Conference awards for team sports are nominated and voted on by the member campus coaching or administrative staffs. Individual sports, golf and cross country, are based on results from the PSUAC Championship events in those respective sports.
