PSUAC Fall All-Conference Awards Released

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The 2018 fall sport regular season has come to a conclusion, and with that the PSUAC All-Conference teams have been selected. More than 100 student-athletes from all 13 campuses earned recognition for fall sports.

Leading the way are this year's Players of the Year. Penn State Beaver's Danylo Yakymov raked in both Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year in men's soccer; Brianna Banks of Penn State Brandywine and Breann Fetterman of Penn State Hazleton are co-Players of the Year in women's soccer; Nicolette Napoleon of Brandywine won the East Volleyball Player of the Year; and Siteri Tale of Fayette and Keara Shrefler of Penn State DuBois earned the West Volleyball co-Players of the Year. 

Dave Alberts of DuBois won Coach of the Year in volleyball, while Beaver's Jim Van Kirk takes home the title in men's soccer. New Hazleton women's soccer coach Gerry Linn capped a successful first season with Coach of the Year accolades as well. Mark Powell took home the coaching honors for golf as DuBois captured their second consecutive conference title earlier in October.

PSUAC All-Conference awards for team sports are nominated and voted on by the member campus coaching or administrative staffs. Individual sports, golf and cross country, are based on results from the PSUAC Championship events in those respective sports.
