Greater Allegheny freshman defender Emily Rojas has been named this week's PSUAC Student-Athlete of the Week for women's soccer. Through a Penn State University Athletic Conference weekend, Emily notched a goal in both contests. In the 2-0 shutout over Penn State Mont Alto, Emily notched the second and comforting goal of the game, as the freshman took the ball from the back field, dribbled it through the defense and hashed one into the back of the mesh.
In the 2-2 double-overtime tie with Penn State Brandywine, Rojas kept Greater Allegheny alive as she again broke down the defense from the GA back field, posting the second and tying goal of the game with less than a minute in regulation.
Through the two games, Rojas posted a total of five shots.
