Velez set a new career high by pouring in 26 points during a 63-62 victory over NCAA Division III Widener, Brandywine's first-ever triumph over its local rival. Trailing by 14 points with under 10 minutes to play, Velez buried two three-pointers and netted 10 points overall during the final nine minutes to help Brandywine win its fifth-straight game. She also added six steals in 37 minutes on the court. Velez then contributed 12 points and five assists in a blowout win at Vaughn on Monday
